Privacy Policy

This policy describes information handled by Plano Residents Directory and the choices available to visitors. We operate a private reference resource for Plano, Texas public-record and historical-directory sources. No account is needed to read it, and we do not host the government records described in its links.

Information You Submit

A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the independent provider that operates results. Our servers do not retain that search entry. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.

Automatic Technical Data

Hosting systems may create ordinary logs, including IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and times. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand page use. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement.

How Information Is Used

We use limited information to operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the service. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.

Outside Links

Links may take you to Collin County, City of Plano, Texas, library, archive, or independent search-provider pages. Their policies govern information provided on their services, including sponsored-result services, not this policy.

Service Providers and Disclosure

Hosting and support providers can process logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure and otherwise do not share it.

Security Practices

The service uses an encrypted connection. Logs are kept only for the time reasonably needed for the purposes described here. There are no site accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles for us to maintain.

Visitors Under 18

This resource is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor sent us information, and we will remove it.

Your Privacy Choices

The Texas Data Privacy and Security Act took effect July 1, 2024 and can provide rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out in applicable circumstances. Publicly available information and public records have important statutory exclusions. Because Plano Residents Directory keeps little visitor data, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the contact page to make a request. Requests to remove a Texas, Collin County, or Plano government record must go to that record's custodian.

Policy Changes

We will post revisions on this page. Continued use after a revision takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
